Speed skating for Beginners

Midway Club Details:

Midway has approximately 60 skaters but can support up to 90 skaters.  The club does not have “tryouts” as a method for determining who is allowed to join the club.  However, the youngest skaters must be able to move freely about on the ice.  If a skater is not ready to join the club please see other beginner options listed below.

Learn to Speed Skate Programs:

Youth

Roseville Park and Recreation Department runs a Novice Speed Skating program.  This beginner program is run in conjunction with Midway Speed Skating Club.  For more information check out their website.

Speed skate rental is available on a seasonal basis.

Adults

Roseville Park and Recreation Department runs classes on various Wednesday evenings. Contact Kevin Elm, Roseville Program Director  at kevin.elm@ci.roseville.mn.us for more information and a list of this year’s dates.

Speed skate rental is available on a daily basis.
